Terms of use
Draft. This text is a starting point and has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Replace it with the final terms before opening the service to customers.
1. The service
Wetfeet Tracker shows the position of boats on a map and lets a crew send a panic alert to the organizers. It is a tool to help organizers; it is not an emergency service and does not replace VHF radio, a phone call to the emergency services or proper safety procedures.
2. Accounts and organizations
You create an organization when you register. You are responsible for the people you give access to and for keeping passwords secret. Organizations cannot see each other's data.
3. Plans
Each organization may use one boat free of charge. Additional boats are paid per boat and per month once paid plans are available. Prices are announced before they apply.
4. Your data
You own the data you put into the service. The people on your boats must be informed about what is collected (see the privacy notice), and you need their consent for optional data such as heart rate.
5. Availability
We work to keep the service running but cannot promise uninterrupted operation. GPS, cellular and battery conditions on the water can interrupt tracking and alerts.
